Throughout two centuries of change, our commitment to delivering quality and exceptional service has remained unwavering. While techniques
and technologies have transformed along the years, the human touch remains essential. Our tight-knit team embodies generations of passion and dedication to their craft. These values are woven into the very fabric of Texsilk.

Our enduring legacy
of textile excellence
Our commitment to
100% vertical integration
We are a family company with a long textile tradition dating back to 1820, when founders Francesc Ponsa and Teresa Casajuana started a narrow fabric weaving workshop in Manresa. For over two centuries, their entrepreneurial spirit and the textile manufacturing has been passed down through 7 generations of the Ponsa family.
Among all of them, we want to make a special tribute to the women who worked hard to keep the textile manufacturing through wars, recessions and difficult times to carry the torch. Some of these are Esperança Llaurado, Teresa Casajuana, Maria Muntane and Teresa Prat. Their tireless work and care enabled Texsilk to not only survive, but thrive.
Every thread woven today connects back to the very first. And today the fabric manufacturing company is led by Marc Ponsa Prat, the 7th generation of this family.
But our proudest legacy is the long-term partnerships nurtured with customers, employees, and partners over 200 years. We look forward to weaving the next chapter together.
As a fully vertically integrated textile manufacturer, Texsilk has every step of production in our facilities, from raw materials to finished fabrics.
This includes:
– Manufacturing our own yarn pigments
– Extruding high-performance yarns
– Meticulously warping the yarns
– Weaving intricately designed fabrics
– Developing proprietary finishing formulas
– Performing rigorous quality control testing
– Packaging our fabrics and shelter them in the warehouse
By supervising every stage of the manufacturing process, we can guarantee unmatched quality and consistency, quickly implement innovations, and ensure optimized production efficiency.
Our culture of craftsmanship ensures no detail is overlooked. Discover the difference true vertical integration makes.
Weaving a Sustainable Future
Sustainability is woven into Texsilk’s DNA. For centuries, as a textile manufacturer, we’ve innovated to minimize waste and impacts. We believe the health of the planet and the health of business go hand-in-hand.
Our manufacturing runs on 100% renewable electricity, including solar power supplying over 30% of our needs. We recycle or repurpose all fabric leftovers into raw materials for new textiles. Products at end-of-life get recycled into new assets.
We constantly seek ways to enhance efficiency across our operations. Investments in new technology help us drive reduced energy consumption, water usage, and waste.
But sustainability goes beyond initiatives: it’s a mindset instilled in our team. We consistently evaluate how to improve processes, materials, and partnerships for the benefit of all.
By combining traditional techniques with futurefocused vision, Texsilk aims to raise the bar for the entire textile industry. The fabrics we imagine today will shape a brighter tomorrow.
